I'm now effectively out of mine and into MX-5 #2! Now known as the “MX-5,” and the “Eunos Roadster” in Japan, the Mazda Miata started its production in 1989. On another front, I took title to Zane's car on September 8th and now have a 30-Day tag on it. It doesn't get any newer in SCCA Production racing than the JPM 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The 2011 season brings a host of new projects and development of existing cars. This review is from: How to Build a High-Performance Mazda Miata MX-5 (Motorbooks Workshop) (Paperback). He expects to tackle my project over a weekend, a few weeks from now. The capstone to Keith's Miata trilogy, November 17, 2010. Twist the key (even with the “smart key” there's a key-like protuberance to twist) and the 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata is more eager to play than a Lab puppy with a new tennis ball. It's been in an accident; doesn't have the original engine, etc . This 1990 Mazda Miata for sale on Hemmings.com has something extra going for it: thorough documentation of its one-off factory paint color, applied as part of a Mazda test program. The interior plastics are terrible, the radio stinks, it has multiple rattles, the engine doesn't like to rev, and it's very noisy with the top up, but I love every minute of it. That car is more I'm not sure if it's someones project or if it's waiting to get scrapped though. We just came back from the Mazda Miata MX-5 20th birthday party here at the Chicago Auto Show where they trotted out past concepts, race cars, and most importantly, beer and sushi. Thus the Mazda Miata project team scorned "packaging" and "off-the-shelf" componentry per se, and instead began with a pure, bright concept of "America's ideal sports car." The first-generation Miata featured a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 116 horsepower and 100 lb. An excellent book, capping off Keith's trilogy of Building on the “Miata 101″ of Find It, Fix It, Trick It, and the projects aspect of Performance Projects, this book explains the “why” of what your Miata does and the “how” of how to get out of your Miata what you want.
